The Santa Cruz Sentinel recently featured a lengthy article and video of Tyler Fox, regarding his recent XXL nomination:

" Tyler Fox and Shane Desmond weren't the only tow-in team hunting big waves at Ghost Tree on Dec. 4. Surfers from around the world had been tracking the swell for weeks. Days before it arrived in Northern California, they flocked to the coast, toting their big guns -- surfboards stretching up to 9, 10, 11 feet. When the sheets of water finally started hitting the coastal reefs, causing monster waves to rise up, they were ready. Many surfers bagged big waves that day, but few compared to the trophy wave Fox, of Aptos, caught on his final ride of the day. Estimated between 60 and 70 feet, it was so massive that it was one of five rides nominated for the Biggest Wave Award -- for the tallest and heaviest wave surfed on the planet last year -- at the upcoming Billabong XXL Global Big Wave Awards. The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Grove Theater in Anaheim on April 11. "From the moment I saw that wave, I knew it was an XXL wave," said Desmond, of Santa Cruz..." This past Saturday, products from Imperial Motion's spring line were featured in a fashion show, hosted at the Hawaiian South Shore. The crowd became rowdy as they got a glimpse of some of the new boardshorts and shirts for 2008! The show featured live music, entertainment, and a trendy vibe. Nice work bros!

"Tyler Fox has secured a nomination for the “Billabong XXL Biggest Wave Award”. Should he win the award he will receive $15,000 and a Honda Aquatrax watercraft with HSA sled.
